The Executive Board of the Michigan Athletic Trainers Society would like to
announce the creation of a new Executive Council Committee. The Board
unanimously approved the creation of a Revenue Committee. The purpose of
this committee is to explore, establish, and share "Revenue Models" in the
field of Athletic Training. The vision is that this committee would create
and promote successful revenue models in which Certified Athletic Trainers
can get paid for what they do. For example, the Physician Extender and Cash
Based models have begun to gain momentum. This committee would explore and
establish guidelines specific for Certified Athletic Trainers in the State
of Michigan.

At this time the Executive Board is taking applications for the chairperson
of this committee. Interested individuals should contact Mike VanAmberg
at mvanamberg@matsonline.org by October 20, 2003. The ideal candidate should have
strong oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills,
and be able to build and work within a team environment. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact me.
